Alberta Health Services (AHS) Rimbey adult day support program hours of operation have changed.

Six-hour adult day support programs are still offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays but now the hours are from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The adult day support program was previously offered from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

A new adult evening support program is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The programs are held at the Rimbey Provincial Building and Courthouse, (5025 55 St.), and are available to local home care clients who have physical and memory challenges or chronic illnesses.

The programs provide home care clients with additional assistance to continue living in the community, by optimizing physical, spiritual, social, and emotional functioning.

Adult day programs provide socialization, respite, and education for caregivers, and professional services, including rehabilitation, social work, nursing, and on-site access to physician services.

Anyone interested in attending the programs must be a home care client, aged 18 or older who needs two or more services offered in the program. A referral and assessment by home care is also required.
