The students and staff of Ponoka Wolf Creek Public Schools, community members and elders gathered to honour the survivors of residential schools on Thursday, September 29th in honour of National Truth and Reconciliation Day. 

Hundreds of students took part taking in the stories of elders, learning some Cree, and the history of residential schools. 

The event called “Discovering Truth” was hosted by Wolf Creek Public Schools, Ponoka Jubilee Library and the Town of Ponoka and was aimed at healing and acknowledgement.
