As of 8 am this morning,  phase 2A Covid-19 immunization began. Phase 2A targets Albertans born between 1947 and 1956, and First Nations, Inuit and Métis born in 1971 or earlier. 

AHS will offer appointment bookings by birth years. These appointments can be booked through the AHS online booking tool (ahs.ca/covidvaccine), or through Health Link 811 if people need booking assistance.  

On Monday, Albertans eligible to book through AHS include Albertans born in 1947 or earlier and First Nations, Métis and Inuit people born in 1962 or earlier. 

Participating pharmacies are opening appointments to all phase 2A groups starting Monday. This includes all Albertans born in 1956 or earlier and all First Nations, Métis and Inuit born in 1971 or earlier.

In Central Alberta there are many pharmacies participating in this.

  • Lacombe : Shopper's Drug Mart and Fisher's Pharmasave
  • Sylvan Lake:Shopper's Drug Mart (47th ave location)
  • Blackfalds: Sandstone Pharmacies
  • Innisfail: Jackson's Pharmasave, Loblaw's Pharmacy
  • Ponoka: Ponoka Professional Pharmacy
  • Red Deer: Johnstone IDA, London Drugs, Notre Dame Pharmasave, Shopper's Drug Mart, Walmart Pharmacy, Loblaw Pharmacy, Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, Save on Food Pharmacy
  • Rimbey: Rimbey Value Drug Mart
  • Rocky Mountain House:Alpine Value Drug Mart, Shopper's Drug Mart 
  • Stettler: Shopper's Drug Mart, Stettler IDA Pharmacy
