Nominations for Lacombe's Volunteer of the Year Awards close tomorrow (March 29).

The City of Lacombe, Lacombe and District Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), and community partners are celebrating local volunteers with the Volunteer of the Year Awards.

The awards are a night dedicated to honouring individuals who serve as the heartbeat of the community, by recognizing the contributions they have made.

“This special event recognizes the invaluable contributions of volunteers who selflessly devote their time, skills, and passion to make a significant impact on the lives of others,” an FCSS media release said. “Volunteers are the unsung heroes behind countless community projects, from organizing events to offering support to those in need. Their dedication is immeasurable, and it is time to shine a spotlight on their exceptional service and commitment.”

Individuals, community groups, educational institutions, and voluntary organizations are invited to nominate community members deserving of recognition for their devotion to helping others.
