If you are looking for an Easter themed event for the whole family, The Metis local 492, Shiny Mountains Living Community Services and Urban Aboriginal Voices Society are hosting a hunter, gatherer inspired egg hunt.

The event will run from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Rotary Park in Red Deer.

Jessica Falcon, the President of the Metis Local talks about the event.

"The idea is to bring some community fun as we celebrate native culture through an Easter egg hunt. We're going to have activities, some crafts, some information on trapping and gathering. And we are also going to have a hot dog roast lunch while supplies last. The event is free, and it is open to all community members."

Falcon says they will have firepits lit as well to keep everyone warm if it is cool on Saturday. They would like for people to register for the event, so they know how much food to order.
