The Lacombe AA Generals are the 2024 North Central Hockey League (NCHL) Vanberg Cup Champions.
In front of 625 home fans at the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex, the Generals were able to raise the cup after a 4-3 overtime win over the Devon Barons.
Saturday night's game went back and forth between the teams who exchanged goals in all three periods. After the third frame the game was tied at 3 apiece.
In OT it was Cam Maclise from Jamie Johnson with the championship winning goal.
Once again, Mackenzie Engel was in net for the Generals, and stopped 49 of 52 shots.
