Wetaskiwin Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) began an investigation on drug trafficking within the community in January 2024. On March 21, 2024, Wetaskiwin CRU executed two search warrants resulting in the seizure of:

  • 450 grams of methamphetamine;
  • 56 grams of cocaine;
  • 6 grams of crack; and
  • $420 cash.

As a result of the investigation Kenneth Croxall (54), a resident of Wetaskiwin, has been charged with:

  • Trafficking methamphetamine;
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine;
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; and
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000.

Croxall was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. He is to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin on April 18, 2024.
