Four fire units, along with the EMS, Peace Officers and RCMP all responded to a vehicle collision in Penhold on Friday.
Around 5:00 pm on August 28th, crews responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highways 42 and 2A.
Penhold Fire Lieutenant Warren Kitteringham said “a passenger van and a pickup truck and trailer collided. One person from the van was transported to the hospital in Red Deer.”
Penhold Fire Chief Jim Pendergast said “there was a Red Deer County Peace Officer on scene who was able to provide assistance until our crews arrived”.
Traffic was alternating in all four directions for about 90 minutes.
