Update: Monday, December 2nd, 2018:

As of 12:20 am, RCMP are still not advising travel on Highway 2 between Red Deer and Blackfalds. Roads are partly covered in snow with icy sections throughout causing major delays.

As of 5:00 am, almost all roads in central Alberta are in poor conditions, so please use alternate routes than the QE2 if possible and drive with caution.

Major delays on Highway 2 from Blackfalds to Gasoline Alley south of Red Deer, both northbound and southbound lanes.

Motorists are being advised to take alternate routes as traffic is at a standstill.
