Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw continues to ask the province to come together in order to fight the ongoing pandemic.

Recently, some businesses have decided to open despite provincial health measures.

“Business owners who choose to reopen despite our current restrictions are increasing the number of close contacts that happen in their community. Possibly making it harder for other business owners if that means restrictions need to stay in place for longer. Business owners who prepare for a safe future reopening but follow the measures currently in place are helping our communities and helping us get to a low enough transmission so reopening can happen faster,” explained Hinshaw.

As local COVID-19 numbers begin to decrease, business owners and local chambers continue to push the government to allow for businesses to open that have been closed down by the most recent restrictions.
