The Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce are reaching out to business owners in the community to ask one simple question: what do you think the priorities should be for city council?

Chamber Director Monica Bartman says with a new mayor and some new faces on council, this is a great way for business and council to start off on the same page.

“We just want to do that in the best way possible, and the best prepared and most informed way possible so we are taking this opportunity to really get a pulse on what business are needing and wanting from city council at this time.”

It will be the first time the Lacombe Chamber conducts a survey like this, Bartman says they kept the survey to two questions to make things simple, but broad.

“We didn’t want to give too many guidelines or options for what people could or couldn’t say, so essentially it’s just ‘What do you see as the priorities for council during this next term?’ So ideally our goal is to develop some local, municipal policies that will shape the way that our municipal government interacts with local business.”

You have until February 28th to complete the survey, which you can fill out by clicking here to go to the Chambers website.
