From the City of Lacombe:

Downtown residents and businesses are advised that Fortis Alberta will be installing a new streetlight in front of Ugly’s Pub & Grill during the week of April 15-19, weather permitting.

Construction is expected to take two days.

Parking will be restricted as indicated in the map below to provide a safe workspace, but the road will remain open.

Sections of the sidewalk will also be restricted, but pedestrian and business access will be maintained.

The streetlight replaces the one removed from the northwest corner of 50 Street and 50 Avenue during the Main Street Project in 2017.

“Fortis designed the lights on the northeast corner to provide adequate lighting to the intersection, so a light in the original location is unnecessary,” said Engineer Manager Amber Mitchell. “By relocating the light on the west side to the north, Fortis will be able to improve the lighting coverage on 50 Street.”
