From the Innisfail RCMP:

On February 12, 2020, at approximately 12:40 AM, Innisfail RCMP received a call from a concerned citizen about a suspicious Red GMC Sierra in Penhold, Alberta that appeared to be lurking around.

Members located the red truck on Highway 2A, south of Penhold, where it had stopped on the Highway next to an occupied Grey GMC Sierra.

Members attempted a traffic stop and both vehicles fled.  The vehicles began travelling in a dangerous manner, including driving Northbound in the Southbound lanes of Highway 2.

Innisfail RCMP, assisted by Blackfalds, Three Hills and Red Deer RCMP worked in an coordinated effort to stop the vehicles.

The vehicles were observed to drive down Range Road 261, which is a dead end road. Members converged on the area and the red truck was located stuck in a ditch.

Two individuals were arrested in the Red GMC Sierra.

The Grey GMC Sierra was located unoccupied further down the road and with the assistance of Red Deer PDS, a dog track lead to the arrest of a male who had fled from the Grey GMC Sierra.
