The 2017 Induction Class for the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame was named today.

5 Individuals, and one hockey family whose name is known to almost all Albertans will be recognized at the Alberta Hockey Hall's gala in Canmore this summer.

The entire Sutter Family is being inducted.

Brent, Brian, Darryl, Duane, Rich, Ron, Sutter have combined for 4,994 regular season games played in the NHL, 1,320 goals, 1,614 assists and 6 Stanley Cups.

Their mother Grace, late father Louis Sutter, and Brother Gary (Who they say is the best player of them all and took up the family farm) were also inducted.


Coronations Melody Davidson was inducted as well.

Best known for her work behind the bench leading the Canadian Women’s National team to gold medals in Salt Lake City (assistant), Torino (head coach), and Vancouver (head coach) Olympics.


And former Lacombe Rocket Tony Lollman was inducted into the 2017 class.

Lollman was a hospital administrator, but played for several hockey teams in Alberta, including the Hanna Hornets, Drumheller Miners, Olds Elks and Lacombe Rockets.
