UPDATE: July 22nd 

On July 21, 2021, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue and Rocky Mountain House RCMP located a deceased female, tentatively identified as the missing 41-year-old female, Crystal Whitford, on the O'Chiese First Nation, Alta.

RCMP continue to remain in the area.

RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding Crystal's death and are asking anyone who may have seen her, or who may have information, to contact Rocky Mountain RCMP at 403-845-2882 or your local police.

ORIGINAL STORY:July 20th 

Rocky Mountain House, Alta. – Rocky Mountain House RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Crystal Whitford (41) of O’Chiese First Nation, who has been reported missing.  Crystal was last seen when she left her home on the night of Sunday, July 18, 2021, at approximately 6 p.m.  She was last seen walking on a path in the woods near her home on O’Chiese First Nation.  

Rocky Mountain House RCMP have coordinated a search of the area with the assistance of Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue and O’Chiese Fire and Rescue; however, Crystal has not been located. 

Crystal Whitford is described as:

5’6" tall130 lbsThin buildLong dark hair down her backBrown eyesIndigenous female

Crystal was last known to be wearing dark clothing.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP are concerned for her wellbeing and would like to speak to her. Anyone with information on her whereabouts are asked to Rocky Mountain RCMP at 403-845-2882 or your local police.
