One of the most famous novels of all time, Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, has been turned into a musical play, and it's coming to Lacombe.
The Forbeez Theatre group, will be showing the play from Friday, April 12th to Sunday, April 14th, at The Lacombe Performing Arts Centre. It is a family friendly show for all ages.
Ross Forbes talks about Forbeez. "We have 30 kids in total in our group, the ages range from grade three through to grade 9. We begin our rehearsals in September. That's our registration, and we have weekly practices right through to the performances in April."
Forbes talked about how popular the group is. "We've only been going for two years. Last year was our first year and we had 19 kids registered. The majority of them returned for the second year and we had additional kids joining us. So like I said, up to 30 at the moment."
