From Ponoka RCMP:

On October 8, 2019 Ponoka RCMP responded to a local hotel for a complaint of attempted credit card fraud. A female and male suspect were attempting to use false identification and invalid credit card information to pay for a hotel room. When the male and female suspects were alerted that police had been called both suspects fled from the front counter.

Investigation by the Ponoka RCMP revealed that five suspects had been occupying three different hotel rooms.  Three suspects were taken into custody, and two suspects remain at large.  One male was found to be in possession of brass knuckles.
