UPDATE: December 15th
From The Town of Sylvan Lake
Water conservation restrictions are lifted.
This evening our team has been able to repair the water break within our water infrastructure, and residents may again use water as required.
Thank you to everyone for your cooperation and support!
Original Story December 12
The Town of Sylvan Lake is asking residents to immediately reduce their water consumption after experiencing a water break.
The break is affecting the availability of water but crews are working quickly to repair the infrastructure. The water is still safe and its quality has not been changed; however, the issue is affecting the town’s amount of potable water.
The Town recommends the following:
- Shorter showers
- Do not needlessly run facets
- Reduce flushing when possible
The restriction will be in place until further notice.
