UPDATE: From Rocky RCMP: May 16th, 2019, 5:00 pm, 

RCMP in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta are actively investigating a pedestrian fatality which occurred on the Sunchild First Nation on May 17, 2019. 

A 39-year-old mother of five was struck and killed by a motor vehicle at approximately 03:00 am on May 17, 2019.  

The woman was walking on the main road, approximately 2.2 kilometres west of the school road when the collision occurred.

From Rocky Mountain House RCMP:

On May 17, 2019, at approximately 3:00 a.m., a female was walking on the Sunchild First Nation and was struck by a vehicle. 

Emergency Medical Services and the Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to the scene to find the female deceased upon arrival, and the vehicle to have fled.

 RCMP continue to investigate this occurrence.
