From Innisfail RCMP:

On February 21, 2020 at approximately 12:10 AM, Innisfail RCMP responded to a complaint of a Black Mazda 6 that appeared to be prowling around Hooker’s Towing.

Members located the vehicle in the McDonald’s drive-thru and conducted a traffic stop. A 27-year-old female and 34-year-old male, both from Calgary were arrested.

Through investigation, the license plate on the vehicle was confirmed as stolen and RCMP located methamphetamine and newly stolen catalytic converters inside the vehicle.

The male and female are jointly charged with Possession of Property obtained by Crime x 3 and the female is also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Provincial Offenses.

The identities of the male and female are not being released at this time as charges have not yet been sworn.  

Both were released on Appearance Notices to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on April 3, 2020.

Property Crime and Crime Reduction remains a priority for Innisfail RCMP and residents are asked to continue to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.
