One man is dead after a three-vehicle collision north of Rocky Mountain House on Wednesday, October 14th. 

Police say that shortly before 4:00 pm, a pickup truck was heading northbound on Highway 22, which then stopped to turn on to Echo Canyon drive.

That's when a second pickup truck, also heading northbound, hit the first truck from behind, which was then struck by a tractor-trailer unit that was heading southbound. 

The 34-year-old male driver of the first pickup died on the scene, while the 24-year-old male driver of the second pickup was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer unit was not injured. 

The cause and all contributing factors related to this collision remain under police investigation.
