From the Red Deer RCMP:

Earlier this year, Constable Hassan Abo Sharbeen went above and beyond his duties while out conducting neighbourhood inquiries on a snowy day.

While out in the community, Constable Abo Sharbeen happened to notice a citizen struggling while shovelling her snow.

She was holding her back and appeared to be injured. Without hesitation, Constable Abo Sharbeen offered to shovel the rest of her sidewalk and was finished in only a few minutes.

The citizen was very thankful and shared that she had recently suffered a back injury.

“This is an example of true community involvement,” said Superintendent Gerald Grobmeier, Officer in Charge of Red Deer. “Our members are on the street every day, interacting with citizens, and I am extremely proud of the professionalism, integrity and compassion demonstrated by members as they work to keep our community safe.”
