A 21-year-old male from Red Deer is dead after an avalanche in Lake Louise.  

Avalanche Canada says the incident was ski-triggered and occurred in a closed area within the Lake Louise ski resort.  The incident occurred on Saturday, April 22. 

Two people were caught, one person was partially buried and survived, and one was fully buried and did not survive.  

The avalanche was reportedly 200m wide, 550m long with a crown depth of 40-50 centimeters.
