The Canada Winter Games 2023 are happening in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Over the weekend, a couple of Red Deer-based trampoline athletes joined forces to win the bronze medal in the men’s synchronized event.

Cody Cyman, who is just 15 years old, landed on the bronze medal step of the podium with Artur Troyan after combining for 42.110 points in their final routine.

“This feels amazing and it is definitely a big confidence booster for me,” said Cyman. “I can’t wait to continue the competition this week, and see where this takes me.”

Cyman and Troyan remained focused while battling through a long day to achieve their goal of earning a medal at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown.

“Today was filled with lots of challenges, with lots of ups and downs. We covercame each challenge, had some luck and are just super pumped and excited it all worked out.”
