The Red Deer Rebels selected two players at the 2021 Western Hockey League U.S. Priority Draft on Wednesday.

With the eighth overall pick in round one, the Rebels selected Quentin Bourne, a defenceman from Torrance, California. The 5’7”, 150 lb. left-shooting blue liner has four points in six games this season with Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 15U. He previously played with Los Angeles Jr. Kings 14U AAA.

With the 37th overall pick in round two, the Rebels selected Jonah Jasser, a forward from Houston, Texas. The 6’1”, 175 lb. left-shooting forward has 16 points in 29 games this season with Dallas Stars Elite 16U AAA.

Players eligible for the 2021 WHL U.S. Priority Draft are 2006-born players who reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Players not selected in the 2021 WHL U.S. Priority Draft will remain eligible to be selected in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft on Thursday, December 9, or listed by a WHL Club at any time thereafter.
