Red Deer Rebels-2 Saskatoon Blades-5

The Saskatoon Blades staged an incredible 4-straight-game win comeback to beat the Red Deer Rebels in their best-of-seven WHL Eastern Conference Semifinal.

Just over a week ago, Red Deer was sitting up 3 games to none over the Blades and planning ahead to the third round series. Saskatoon had other plans.

Tuesday night at The Sask Tel Centre the Blades beat the Rebels 5-2.

The first two periods were back and forth with Red Deer's Hunter Mayo scoring first at the 12:10 mark. Saskatoon would tie the game just three minutes later.

In the second frame, The Blades would score first, but Ryker Singer would tie it up again with his first goal of the playoffs.

Then it all fell apart in the third. Saskatoon would score three times, including two goals in a :30 second span to put the game (and the season) out of reach for the visitors.
