For the first time since the pandemic, the Ponoka Festival of Trees is back in full form. Although there were limited events in 2020 and 2021, the annual fundraiser for The Ponoka District Health Foundation, will be bringing back many of the popular attractions from previous years.

This year's theme will be snowflakes and diamonds, and events will be held at The Ponoka Stampede Grounds.

Some of the events returning this year are:

Thursday, December 1st

Opening night gala and auction

  • live auctioneers, dinner and a first peek at the trees.
  • Doors open at 5, dinner at 6

Friday, December 2nd

Senior's Snowflakes and Coffee

  • A morning of entertainment, prize draws and refreshments for Ponoka Seniors
  • runs from 9:30-11:30

Ladies Wine Night-Black Dress

  • Entertainment, wine, and appetizers.
  • Doors open at 6 pm

Saturday, December 3rd

Family Fun Day

  • Sponsored by Sunny 94
  • A fun filled family day with a visit from Santa, entertainment, snacks, contests and more
  • morning event runs from 9:30-noon
  • afternoon event runs from noon-2:30

The money raised from this year's festival will go to fund space lab monitors, which are used for checking the heartbeat and breathing of newborns and other patients.
