At approximately 10:54 p.m. on Thursday August 5, 2021 Penhold Volunteer Fire Department crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a moose on northbound highway 2A just north of Penhold. 

Four occupants of the vehicle were treated for minor injuries and released on scene. Highway 2A was closed for 1.5 hours. Twelve firefighters and three apparatus were dispatched.
