Olds RCMP investigating suspected arson

On April 19, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Olds RCMP and Olds Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Olds Association for Community Living.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the building had been unlawfully entered and there was a vehicle on fire in the garage.

The Fire Investigator attended, and at this time, the fire is considered to be suspicious. The building was also spray painted.

A youth was located close to the scene, was detained, and later released without charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
