On July 21st, 2022 at approximately 10:30 pm, Lacombe Police Service members located a stolen Polaris RZR in the parking lot of the English Estates Center located at 5830 Hwy 2a in Lacombe.

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, which fled at a high rate of speed colliding with a Lacombe Police Service vehicle, causing minor damage to the Police vehicle. Police continued to follow the stolen Polaris until it became stuck in the area of Elizabeth Lake where the driver was taken into custody. 47-year-old Chad Everett Davidson of Ponoka has been charged with the following offences:

  • Disobeying order of the court
  • Resist arrest
  • Assault Peace Officer
  • Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle
  • Fail to stop or remain at accident scene
  • Flight from Police
  • Tampering with vehicle identification number
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Mischief to property

Davidson was released on a recognizance with his next court date scheduled for August 16th in Red Deer Provincial Court.
