On October 7th, 2020, there was a large police presence at a downtown residential building along 55th Street in Red Deer as RCMP executed an outstanding search warrant. RCMP contained the scene and found that the suspect was armed with a weapon.

Red Deer RCMP requested the assistance of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Police Dog Service (PDS). ERT served a warrant, and shortly thereafter took one male and one female into custody without incident.

39-year-old male named Quentin Strawberry of O'Chiese First Nation and 38-year-old Jennifer Caswell of Red Deer were arrested for breaching no-contact conditions.

Strawberry is charged with failure to comply and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial court on October 8th.

Caswell is charged with breach of probation and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial court on November 10th.
