The Lacombe Police Service will be hosting a Parade of Gratitude to celebrate the work of Health Professionals and all frontline essential workers.

LPS will be joined by the Lacombe City and County Fire Departments, Alberta Sheriffs, Lacombe County Peace Officers, City of Lacombe Bylaw Services, Alberta Health Services (EMS), and Popows Towing taking to the streets to thank essential workers and provide encouragement to local residents.

“This is a way for us as emergency responders to say thank you to healthcare professionals in the City of Lacombe for the sacrifices they make as we journey through this pandemic together. We would like to recognize the work they do and ensure they know that their actions are greatly appreciated by the community” explained Constable Vaughan Bleasdale.

LPS is asking that everyone remains in their homes or vehicles and to continue on with social distancing efforts during the event.

The parade route will go through the parking lots of CO-OP, Lionel’s No Frills, Lacombe Hospital, and the Royal Oak Seniors Centre. The parade will begin at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 20th.
