Environment Canada is predicting that spring will be on hold for a little while at least, as a winter storm is heading toward Central Alberta that promises periods of heavy snow, and a snowfall warning has been issued for much of Central Alberta, as of 11:00 am Monday morning.

Central Albertans are encouraged to remain at home Monday evening (too late!) as 10 to 15 cm of heavy snow is expected to start falling on Monday and possibly continue until Tuesday morning.

The weather experts are predicting the majority of the snow to fall east of Edmonton, but heavy snowfall is still predicted for the Camrose and Wetaskiwin area.
