UPDATE:  November 27,10:15 am

Sunday morning, Red Deer RCMP received a credible 911 call of a firearms complaint. RCMP have lifted the shelter in place for residents of Hermary Street that was put in place as a result of the firearm incident being investigated.

RCMP will continue to have a presence in the area as they continue to investigate this incident. At this time no suspects have been located and police work with witnesses to isolate descriptions.

Early Sunday morning at 4:20 a.m., Red Deer RCMP received a 911 call of a firearms complaint.

RCMP are asking residents in the area of Hermary Street between 59th and Halladay Avenue to shelter in place as police investigate—unless otherwise directed by police.

RCMP are also asking the public to refrain from posting photos and video on social media.
