For the seventh day in a row Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Central Alberta and for the entire province. It was first issued last Friday, June 25th and the daytime temperatures did not go below the 20 mark once during that stretch.

It may not come as a surprise, but many historic weather records for high temperatures were broken over the past week. Meteorologists counted almost 50 records broken in Alberta.
