The Government of Alberta will be twinning Highway 11 from Sylvan Lake to Rocky Mountain House. The $120 million project is thought to create 582 jobs. The Alberta Government hopes to improve traffic flow for recreation activities happening in the area.

Part of the road enhancements include infrastructure improvements along the route possibly including:

  • Highway 11 and Range Road 15
  • Highway 11 and Highway 781
  • Highway 11 and Highway 20
  • Highway 11 and Burnt Lake Trail
  • Highway 11 and Range Road 25A
