At around 4:30 am, Environment Canada  issued an extreme cold warning for most of Central Alberta. Wind chill values of between =30 C and -40 C will persist until at least Wednesday afternoon.

With the wind chill and cold temperatures, there is also a risk of frostbite. Be certain if you are travelling to once again pack warm clothing and blankets for all occupants of your vehicle. Pets should also be brought indoors during this cold snap.
