Around 10:30 AM Lacombe and Bentley Fire Departments were called to the scene of a large brush fire located just East of Bentley at the corner of 50th Avenue and Range Road 10.

The grass fire started in an old hay field and threatening nearby home. It appeared emergency services arrived in time to stop the blazes from reaching the home. The fire was contained to the crop area.
