Tees’s Agriculture Society is hosting an event that is both pandemic friendly and a bit unique. On Saturday April 3, the organization will be homFun Car Bingo at the Tees Community Hall. The idea for the event is somewhat historical but is sure to provide a great time for everyone.

“It was actually one of the members (of the Agriculture Society) said they remembered way back when they were a kid, there used to be car bingos that would happen at the Community Hall where it was called out over the radio, and she remembered as a kid, having so much fun,” said Tees’ Agriculture Society’s Carla Kenney.

She says the only thing you may want to bring is a couple of toonies for bingo sheets and a vehicle with a working horn and radio. Each bingo sheet has three games and there will be a total of 15 games played that evening. Only cash will be accepted for the game sheets.

“Once you bingo, then you would honk your horn and then we check and make sure it’s true and then you would get a coupon to select a prize from the prize table. The prizes range from $25 to $35 in value and you get to go in and select your prize so you have your choice,” said Kenney.

There will be prizes available for all ages. Concession and washrooms will also be available and all guests are expected to follow COVID-19 restrictions. Bingo daubers will be available at the event but it is encouraged that those participating bring their own as well as a clip board.

Bingo sheets will be available starting at 6:30 PM and the games will begin at 7:00 PM.
