More than half of eligible Albertans are now fully vaccinated. 50.7 per cent or 1.9 million Albertans have now received their second doses. 

As of July 6, 73.6 per cent of Albertans twelve and older have now received at least one dose of the vaccine. 

Across the province COVID-19 numbers continue to decline. 

July 7th new case numbers:

  • 61 new cases of the virus for June 6th
  • 745 active cases in Alberta
  • 140 people are hospitalized
  • 30 people admitted to ICUs
  • 2,307 total deaths from the virus

Active case numbers in the Central Alberta area:

  • 4 active cases in the City of Lacombe
  • 1 active cases in the County of Lacombe
  • 18 active cases in the City of Red Deer
  • 3 active cases in the County of Red Deer
  • 16 active cases in the County of Ponoka
  • 9 active cases in the Town of Sylvan Lake
  • 0 active cases in the County of Stettler
  • 3 active cases in the County of Mountain View
