As you make your way through the community today you may spot a few pink shirts, displays and, products throughout the City of Lacombe. Pink Shirt Day is an anti-bullying program directed towards spreading kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
The Lacombe FCSS is hosting their first Pink Shirt Campaign and have 18 local businesses and organizations participating.
Those local businesses signed up to receive kindness kits to draw attention kindness by putting up a pink display and offering pink products. Along with tips on spreading kindness, the kits also include a list of resources for those who are being bullied and struggling with mental health.
In honour of the event, the Lacombe FCSS has also been collecting donations in support of local youth programming.
The Lacombe FCSS is hoping you wear pink and spread kindness on this special day.
