If you are driving around Red Deer this Saturday, please keep in mind that there will be a Coats 4 Kids charity check stop.

Charity Checkstop is an annual fundraising event for the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre and assists with the collection of winter clothing items for the Coats 4 Kids campaign.

Drivers are encouraged to pull into the dedicated charity checkstop lanes on Taylor Drive to donate gently used winter clothing and items for kids or adults, or make cash donations for crime prevention.

This year's Charity Checkstop runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, on Taylor Drive, just north of 32nd Street.

Last year’s Charity Checkstop saw over 500+ winter items collected for families in need. Central Albertans are very generous, and we hope to match or do better than 2022.

For those in need of winter items, they can be picked up from October 16th to 20th at the Red Deer Christmas Bureau. (4630 61 Street, Red Deer)
