Two young central Albertan boxers are making waves in the Canada Winter Games in PEI. 

Brody Andrie is from Red Deer and is boxing in the 57 kg weight class. Andrie has seen a ton of success in the games and hasn’t lost a match yet. He’s had Bouts against New Brunswick,  and Ontario. He is set for finals on Saturday, March 4th against Quebec’s Jeremy Drapeau.

Joey Bayliss is from Clive and is currently boxing in the 63.5 kg weight class. He’s only lost one Bout against Quebec so far winning another against Newfoundland. Bayliss will be undergoing a consolation semi-final today (March 3) against Saskatchewan athlete Kaedan Hunter.

Both athletes train in Lacombe under coach Trevor Mackinnon. Andrie has been boxing for the last seven years while Bayliss has been boxing for the last two.
