Today, June 19th, Tim Hortons' restaurants across Canada, (and some in the US) are doing their annual Camp Day.

It's a day to raise money so that undeserved youth can attend special camps and get involved in outdoor activities.

As a kid growing up in Edmonton, I can remember how fun and meaningful Summer camp was. I still have great memories of making friends, learning crafts, and just being a kid. For a few years, my brothers and I would spend a week at Gull Lake Baptist Camp.

My favourite memory was a zipline that the counsellors had set up.

Every Camp Day, 100 per cent of the proceeds from all hot and iced coffee sales at Tims restaurants are donated to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps to help underserved youth reach their full potential.

You can also support this cause by purchasing a Camp Day bracelet for $3 or a Donation Badge available at restaurants for $2, with all proceeds donated to Tims Camps.

Let's see if we can beat last year's donation of $12 million.
