Sunny 94 has partnered with Central Alberta Rescue Effort Shelter (C.A.R.E.S) to bring you pet of the week! Each Friday we feature a new, super friendly, totally adoptable dog or cat. We’ll tell you a bit about them in hopes you’ll go to CARES, meet them, fall in love, and take them home with you!

Levi

This is Levi!

Hello there, my name is Levi and I’m a 2 year old Alaskan Malamute. I came to the shelter with a few other Malamutes as an owner surrender, most of us have found homes – I’m hoping it’s my turn next! I’m very thankful to the staff at CARES for keeping me company here at the shelter and for taking me in!

 Like I said, I’m an Alaskan Malamute, which means I’m a fairly large dog. So I’ll need quite a bit of space to ensure I get the exercise I need. My breed loves to be outside running and playing so if you have a yard for me to call my own that’s a huge bonus! When you first meet me I’ll be a little shy, but that’s natural because I don’t know you yet. Keep in mind, I’m still pretty young so I still have puppy tendencies like chewing on things, getting into mischief, and being very curious. But aren’t those things half the fun of getting a young dog?! I get along well with other dogs (big or small) so if you already have a furry companion, I want to meet them! It’s unconfirmed how I do with young kids but I’m definitely not the aggressive type.;

 I’m neutered and all caught up on my routine vaccinations (kennel cough and rabies) so I’m more than ready to find my new forever home! If you and I don’t mesh perfectly, there are lots of other dogs and cats just like me who are looking for their new home, so maybe you’ll fall in love with them? Come and meet me!
