CARES Pet of the Week

Sunny 94 has partnered with Central Alberta Rescue Effort Shelter (C.A.R.E.S) to bring you pet of the week! Each Wednesday we feature a new, super friendly, totally adoptable dog or cat. We’ll tell you a bit about them in hopes you’ll go to CARES, meet them, fall in love, and take them home with you!

This is Sparkle!

Hello, my name is Sparkle! I know what you’re thinking… with a name like that I should be wearing pink bows while getting my nails painted and talking about the latest Hollywood buzz! I may not look like sparkles but I really am one of the friendliest and outgoing kitty’s you’ll meet. I was found wandering around the streets and have been left unclaimed so I’m looking for my new forever home!

My breed – Siamese. We love being around a crowd and love being up high so a cat house or some sort of shelf that I’m allowed onto will probably be my favorite spot… especially if it’s sunny and warm up there! I’m okay with being held; I don’t typically squirm away. I don’t scratch unless it’s by accident when we’re playing. Meeting new people is fun! Whether it’s new adults, kids, or even dogs! Like I said before, I’m a very social cat and will be happy in just about every household scenario! I’m a great starter breed so if you’re a first time cat owner, I’ll be a wonderful partner to begin your journey with.

Though CARES is the place I was rescued and taken care of, I’m actually going to be at Pet Valu in Lacombe for you to see, pet, and hopefully take home with you! I’m all caught up on my vaccinations and I’m also spayed - no surprise kittens in the future! Even though I’ll be at Pet Value, there are still LOTS of cats and dogs just like me waiting for their second chance at life at CARES.
