Sunny 94 has partnered with Central Alberta Rescue Effort Shelter (C.A.R.E.S) to bring you Pet of the Week! Each Wednesday we feature a new, super friendly, totally adoptable dog or cat. We’ll tell you a bit about them in hopes you’ll go to CARES, meet them, fall in love, and take them home with you!

This is Raisen!

Hi, my name is Raisen! I’ve got floppy ears and big feet – but I’m only 7 months old so I’ll grow into them! Although my ears are always going to be this big! Most of my genes are that of a Basset Hound but it’s unconfirmed if I have any other breeds in me. I came to CARES as a surrender because of respiratory issues. When I came to CARES I had symptoms of pneumonia or maybe an allergy induced reaction – I feel well though! I’ve been passing all my check-ups with flying colors and I’ve been responding to my medication perfectly so hopefully we’ve seen the last of any issues!

I’m a very playful guy with a gentle soul. I don’t play rough so if you have kids in the house they’ll be okay. Remember though, I’m still just a puppy so sometimes I’ll test my limits – I’ll need a home that’s patient with me and will take the time to train me so I’m always a GOOD BOY! I do just fine with other dogs around whether they’re big or small. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cat before but if you’ve got one it might be a good idea to have us meet before you take me home… I want them to like me!

I’m already neutered – all that’s left is for you and I to meet so we can be best friends forever! Come to CARES and see my floppy ears for yourself! Click HERE for more information.
