Saskatoon Blades-5  Red Deer Rebels-3

Once again, the Saskatoon Blades were facing elimination, and once again, they beat the Red Deer Rebels Sunday to force a game 7.

Before game 6 at The Peavey Mart Centrium was even a minute old, the Saskatoon Blades were already up 1-0 with a goal at the :34 second mark. Another goal near the end of the first would put the visitors up 2-0 by the end of the period.

Red Deer Rebel Jace Isley would cut the lead in half at the 5:09 mark of the second, but then two more Blades goals in the same period would have Red Deer scrambling to catch up.

Kai Uchacz would score his 9th of the playoffs, and Jace Isley his second goal of the game to make it interesting, but an insurance goal by Saskatoon would put the game away for good.

One of the problems for Red Deer, was staying out of the penalty box. The Rebels were charged with 78 minutes in penalties compared to just 34 for the Blades. Jayden Grubbe and Matteo Gabrizi were both given 10-minute misconducts, while Jhett Larson was given a game misconduct.

Official attendance at the game was 5,067.

This means that the Rebels will get on a bus tomorrow to head back to Saskatoon for game 7. Game time is Tuesday, 7:00 pm at the Sask Tel Centre.
