DAY 1:

Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Volleyball update

The Titans of Cegep Limoilou strongly started the match and surprised everyone by winning in 5 sets against their opponents, the Red Deer Kings (25-19, 25-11, 23-25, 14-25, 15-10).

The first set was characterized by the few numbers of mistakes made by the Titans. While the Red Deer Kings took the advantage at the start of the second set, the Titan changed it at the score of 18-17, inspired by Xavier Desfossés who diversify his game while the defence was on the lookout.

The Red Deer Kings team did not give up, however, by winning the third set 23-25. They also quickly put the pressure and sowed doubt by winning the fourth set with consistency and causing mistakes for the Titans. Dillon Gauci, showing great confidence in the center, the Red Deer Kings made the necessary adjustments to win with the third and fourth sets, forcing a fifth and deciding set.

Nothing seemed to stop the energy of Limoilou and the support from the crowd, the Titans came back strongly by scoring 6 points in a row. Charles St-Aubin took advantage with four masterful services.

With 38 memorable assists, Charles St-Aubin deserves the title of Player of the Match for Limoilou. Cody Boulding was named Red Deer Player of the Match thanks to his powerful attack in the center.
