This year’s Canada Day is a little bit different from those in the past. Canada continues to mourn for the discovery of the remains of Indigenous children in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Ponoka Mayor Rick Bonnet has issued a statement involving this year’s Canada Day. You can view his reflection on this year's Canada Day here.
